Squiggly Line Faces
(No-Fail Way to Create Original Cartoon Characters)

First, change the size of your screen to 8-1/2 x 11" by using clicking on Image, then Attributes, then change the width and height in inches.

Use Brush tool, medium size, top row, to draw a squiggly line on screen.  Do not try to draw a certain line...just draw a line without thinking about it.  Then look at it to see if you can begin to find some "features".  If not, Undo, and try again.

If you do see something in the line, develop it further.  Remember, these are cartoon characters...not realistic faces.  Add extra details...earrings, bows, hats, glasses, mustaches, beards, etc.

Don't forget to add color.  Also, once you feel comfortable doing the head, begin to add the body, by scrolling up and down as needed to complete your picture.
