CALLIGRAPHIC BRUSH DRAWING
(Computer Art Lesson Using Paint that Comes with Windows)

1. Click on the Brush tool. In the pop-up menu at bottom of tool bar, use the two bottom rows of calligraphic brush widths to draw. When drawing a line that goes mainly to the right, use the first row and when drawing lines curving to the left, use the bottom row.

2. To show depth in your drawing, the lines CLOSER to you should be done in black. Use different values of gray to make some lines appear further back.

3. By using the calligraphic line tools, you will also be using "line variation" (thick to thin lines).

4. Create a plant or tree drawing using these types of lines. You can also add in some of the small straight brush lines and dots for flowers or textures.
